In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master. He praises Himself and His attributes, and His oneness encompasses His qualities. He is sanctified from all that perturbs the intellect and thought. He is the door of hope and the ultimate height, illuminating the hearts of the lovers with His love and guiding the knowledgeable with the lamp of His knowledge.
I bear witness to the beauty of His majesty and testify to His perfection. He veils His witnesses from others due to their far, adorns them with the adornments of His law for their presence. I send blessings upon the closest among them to Him, the one He singled out with His remembrance, in the station of His love and nearness.
Now, Allah says in Surah Al-Ahzab: "Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so—for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward." (Quran 33:35)
Oh, seeker, these stations begin with Islam and then faith, encompassing supplication, truthfulness, patience, charity, fasting, guarding one's modesty, and remembrance as mentioned in this noble verse. They serve to reminder for Muslims to follow those values to escape the constant assault of the self, manifested in slipping, forgetfulness, and ego love.
The placement of these stations by the Almighty to indicate the path of conduct and establishes "remembrance" among to shield the servant from evil, directing him towards the truth in his actions and homes, whether among people or within his families.
Remembrance is continuous with divinity, beauty, and majesty. Thus, approaching remembrance is among the advanced stations on the path to Allah in the Quran.
Remembrance, therefore, is restraint and elevation—restraint from idle talk and distraction, and elevation as it is an act of reflection and closeness to Allah. This worship is performed solely for Him, privately and openly, with the presence of meaning and the absence of the ego. It provides the radiance of the divine attributes. For the people of the Sufi path, remembrance ensures unity . This signifies annihilation of the will, desire, and ignoring the transient. It revives the heart with and in Allah, full submission and immersion in Him. Thus, the lights of divine qualities manifest in humans, making them eligible for progression to the stations of empowerment.
Through these, the servant realizes that their journey through the stages of progression is by the grace of Allah that never ceases. All grace is consistently witnessed by the enlightened insight of the seeker on the path until they receive divine inspirations, not originating from thought or understanding but through reception. And then, the relationship established in remembrance is the relationship between the worshiper and the worshipped, a special connection between the lover and the beloved that only they share. The effects of the Divine are evident in it, elevating both the words and their meanings to what is sacred, to the source of the secrets of existence. This distinguishes between being close and seeking closeness, between ascending and receiving. The heart becomes, at that moment, a mirror reflecting the higher existence, immersed in the sea of ink and the secret of replenishment, radiating the lights of qualities like generosity, kindness, compassion, tenderness, and satisfaction. It enters the presence of proximity with intimacy, security, and annihilation in the meanings of benevolence, ascending to the presence deserving the name of the servant. It attains the secrets of the nights of closeness, gaining the secrets of the unseen night and the hidden closeness. Therefore, the greatest divine gifts and sanctities sought by the seeker are divine guidance, by adhering to His door to enter His presence, glorified and exalted, in this world before the Hereafter. Yes, in this world before the Hereafter. Here, the greatness, comprehensiveness, and integration of the noble Islamic religion are evident in the aforementioned verse, combining the apparent and the hidden, which is the secret of the heart's inspirations and the resources that flow from the Most Merciful onto the grateful servant. Thus, the Truth, glorified and exalted, becomes the Seer and the Seen. Therefore, we must hold ourselves accountable and assess our proximity to Allah Almighty at all times, not only during celebrations and seasons. Instead, we should ask ourselves: What is renewed within us? What is our share of knowledge and wisdom? What is our portion of progression? Faces have become radiant with the changing seasons, the young have matured, and the vigorous have ripened. The elders and middle-aged have departed, and the mountains and plains have been filled. So, where do we stand in the signs of reaching the entrance?
O Allah, the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, guide us from Your guidance, and bestow upon us Your blessings and favors on this blessed night and beyond. Shower us with Your mercy. We ask You, our Lord, at the seats of honor from Your throne, to forgive our slips, overlook our shortcomings, and let the light of love shine with Your most exalted name and glory on our hearts and insights. O Generous, O Compassionate, O Merciful, O Helper, O Beloved, O Majestic, O Living, O Sustainer. We seek Your help through Your mercy and seek refuge in You through our poverty. Enrich us with what is lawful, and guard us against what is forbidden. Bestow upon us Your grace and keep us close to You.
O Allah, we implore You with all Your names and attributes to make us among those who stand upright, who are granted success in piety, who love You and are loved by You, and who dedicate their souls to You, free from the obvious and hidden associations. Illuminate our beings with the light of excellence. Make us among those who work for both their Hereafter and worldly life, with their consciousness of You in secret and solitude. Do not expose us to our own suspicions and supplications.
O Allah, rectify this Muhammadan nation, its males and females, its children and youth, its elders and middle-aged. O our Lord, relieve anyone in distress, O Eternal in benevolence, O Compassionate, O Bestower, O Healer, O Granter of well-being, O Enricher, O Merciful One, O Mighty. O our Lord, we have wronged ourselves with our excesses. Who will forgive our sins, O our Lord? To You we turn, and to You is our destination.
May Allah, with His beauty and perfection, send blessings upon the noblest and happiest of His creations, our master and prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his family and companions, and all the prophets and messengers, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
O Allah, make this country safe and secure, and protect it from all harm. O Allah, have mercy on our deceased and the deceased of all Muslims. O Allah, grant success to the sheikhs of the Darqawi Sufi order in what You love and are pleased with, and make them among Your noble allies, close to You. Have mercy on our sheikhs and teachers, both living and deceased, and on all those who have rights over us from our family members, brothers, followers, students of the Darqawi Sufi order, friends, children, and the descendants of our descendants until the Day of Judgment. Also, include in Your mercy all Muslims, both men and women, believers and believers, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Lord of all the worlds. There is no power or strength except through Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
