The Moon of Larache
A poem by the honorable poet, Mustafa Al-Taribaq
Greet Badr Al-Araich in the morning,
Send your salutations upon him at dawn and throughout the day.
Salute the spiritual leader of worship and piety,
Salute the symbol of generosity and righteousness.
Salute the virtuous and trustworthy, Al-Rousi,
The best there is, and take refuge in his serenity.
It is said that Al-Amin (the trustworthy) is a title he deserves,
By God, indeed he is, the symbol of generosity.
A sea of supplications, an abundance of rituals,
Chapters, and verses of success.
A Sufi, devoted to worship and reciting the Quran,
He has a path to success.
His gentleness and the radiance of his description,
Make the light jealous during the early morning.
Blessed is he, for everyone praises his name,
Commends him throughout the day.
Oh, my master, I used to think
That I was a religious teacher, preordained.
Until I read what you've composed,
Now I am a student, achieving success with you.
You are generous and blessed with what you've given us,
In the realm of worship, you are our leader.
In your piety, you were a devoted and sincere servant,
And we have achieved satisfaction from our Lord, the Successful.
Rest, my master, forever, with contentment,
In the eternal gardens during the evening and morning.
