Description of the erudite scholar and revered Sheikh Sidi Al-Amine Rusi El-Hassani
"He, may God be pleased with him, was a religious scholar who dedicated his life to worship, serving knowledge, and education. His knowledge stemmed from a firm, rooted source. For him, knowledge wasn't merely rules, regulations, narrations, and sayings; it was a robe of light that clothed his soul with faith and an overflowing character filled with love, goodness, and radiance. This was beautifully expressed by the esteemed teacher, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharqi, in his poem 'Salil Al-Shurafa'.":
The drew from the heart of purity knowledge and grace,
And in the abode of honor, he found his rightful place.
He blossomed in the cradle of goodness and nobility,
In the embrace of the noble, he thrived with humility.
He sipped the cup of faith, gaining strength and truth,
Until God's presence within he heart was the eternal proof.
He pledged unwavering honesty in words and deeds,
Following the path of believers, meeting all he needs.
From a lineage of guidance, from the roots of virtue's tree,
his ancestors roamed lands, spreading light for all to see.
He excelled in knowledge, sincerity, and firm resolve,
Shouldering the preachers' burdens, problems to solve.
By God's grace, he illuminated paths for every generation,
Guidance and mercy for all, a source of inspiration.
he adorned his legacy with humility and care,
God's love and guidance, for him, always there.
If we wish to bestow a title upon this sheikh, we can find no title that describes him better than "Al-Amine." We can find no description that surpasses the one which calls him the possessor of excellent character, the keeper of concealed secrets, and the fount of profound knowledge, a source of inner strength. His name, "Al-Amine," signifies his integrity and trustworthiness. He was a guardian of the faith, a guardian of the covenant with his Lord, a guardian of the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and a guardian of his family and his students, both the scholars and the seekers of knowledge. As the honorable poet Muhammad Binshama Al-Maliki said about him in his poem:
It combined prudence, trustworthiness, and loyalty,
And he continued with dignity, his merits shining.
The trustworthy one's presence was honored by halls and gatherings,
When he was celebrated, even flowers and graves wept.
O trustworthy one, you've adorned a dwelling place,
Among the noble, exalted, in the midst of fragrant musk.
The souls, in their highest stations, gathered around you,
And you were quenched from the abundant bounty of paradisiacal virgins.
The esteemed scholar and Sufi teacher, Sidi Abdessalam Al-Imrani Al-Khaldi, as mentioned in his book titled "Tuhfat Al-Anwar,1" talked about the knowledge and secrets held by the Sufi scholar and mentor, Sidi El-Haj Al-Amine Rusi, and what his son, Abdeljalil, inherited in terms of light and insight. He expressed gratitude to God, who made him a servant of His beloved ones, an explainer of their books, a disseminator of their knowledge and understandings, a clarifier of their words, deeds, and states, by permission from their principles and chapters.
After offering blessings and peace upon Prophet Muhammad, the opener of what was closed, the seal of what preceded, the supporter of truth with truth, and the guide to God's straight path, as well as upon his family, companions, followers, and all who are in God's righteous guidance, he continued:
"However, our venerable and authentic instructor, our sincere adviser, the respected and accomplished mentor for those who shared with him in every generation, the scholar among scholars, Sidi El-Haj Al-Amine Rusi El-Hassani, son of our revered mentor Sidi Abdellah, may God bless his resting place and grant acceptance to those who succeeded him... He held a high position and importance for both the general public and the elite... This Tuhfah (gift) pertains to what our mentor and instructor, the Sufi mentor Sidi Al-Amine Rusi, possessed in terms of knowledge and secrets... And there's no denying his dedication, effort, and love for the welfare of the close and distant. He raised his successor with the values of ethics, love for spiritual retreat, and the worship of the Creator-King....
"...The words of our guide, Sidi Al-Amine , in Sufism are expansive, and he was deeply immersed in it with penetrating insight and brilliant acumen...".
"...I say what we know about the esteemed scholar and noble Sufi, Sidi Al-Haj Al-Amine Rusi, in the science of aesthetic taste and the conduct of horticulture, is quite significant. What we aim for is an overview of his life and activities...."
