"Following the spiritual and academic journey of his father, my esteemed sidi Abdullah Rusi El-Hassani treaded the same path from the outset. He commends the divine generosity witnessed in him, saying:
My master Abdullah, the son of our Imam,
You came swiftly to aid our Moroccan land.
You sought the tomb of the Pole, son of our Prophet,
And the Almighty honored you with the guidance of our Lord.
May the Lord of all servants reward you abundantly,
For I have not seen anyone like our visitor.
You taught the servants of Allah and recited your litany, so listen,
And your arrival is a presence before our Lord.
You counseled, advised, and found favor with your Lord,
And you extended kindness to all people.
Come to Allah, O servants of Allah,
To our Sheikh, Abdullah, the caller to Allah.
Our Sheikh advises you to receive your litany,
He will intercede for us tomorrow in His presence.
Recite the istighfar with passion,
And seal it with prayers upon our Prophet.
Congratulations to you, O noble one, for coming to us,
Your prayers are accepted at the door of our Idriss.

His Death
So He was, as attested by the saints and scholars of his time, from the prominent scholars in knowledge, deeds, and righteousness, and among those adhering to the Prophetic Sunnah in his sayings and actions. He enjoined good and forbade evil, adhering to the true religion by applying the commands and avoiding the prohibitions. He replaced advising all Muslims instead. He remained in this state until he met his Lord on the evening of Wednesday, the 26th of Dhu al-Qa'dah in the year 1352 Hijri, corresponding to 1934 CE. He was buried on Thursday in his zawiyah in the city of Al-Qasr al-Kabir. His deeds, which he called to, remained immortal and recorded in the register of Sufi shaykhs who lost this venerable shaykh, holding a significant position in the field of Sufism. He is honored with a knot among the scholars of Al-Qasr al-Kabir and a star among the stars of the knowledgeable people about Allah in our Morocco, a gem among the gems of the righteous in the Islamic lands, in confirmation of the saying of Allah, the Almighty: "Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration." (Quran 33:23) May Allah, the Almighty, have mercy on him. After his death, the mentioned scholar, Sayyid Abdul Qadir Al-Alami, composed some verses of his previous poem as a tribute to him. May Allah be pleased with him, the latest one as follows:
"Have mercy on our departed shaykh, and illuminate his grave,
O Most Merciful, O Most Compassionate, Your forgiveness, our Lord."
