The conduct of the distinguished scholar and spiritual guide, Sidi Al-Amine Rusi El-Hassani.
His conduct encompassed both the outward and inward dimensions of knowledge, reviving his day and night with obligatory acts and voluntary worship, never taking breaks, never tiring, and never neglecting. He was the custodian of the essence of Islam in our contemporary history. The Custodian of Custodians: Custodian of the truth, custodian of thought, custodian of belief, and custodian of sincerity. As mentioned in the poem by the honorable Sharif Al-Sayyid Mustafa Tribak under the title "The Guardian of Virtues," mourning the late scholar, may God have mercy on him:
Today, I weep for the trustworthy one, and my heart is heavy with sorrow, its beats echoing in reverence.
I have come to eulogize, for eulogizing is a virtue,
In honor of one who upholds virtues, sincere and true.
The loss is a calamity and an enduring sorrow,
Beyond it, there will never be a sadder morrow.
A noble, kind-hearted, brave soul has departed,
His morals, like the Quran, firm and wholehearted.
Death is God's decree, an appointment that's certain,
We return to Him, where piety's our curtain.
God's decree, when it comes, we must obey,
Submitting willingly, as night turns to day.
This poem expresses a poet's pain and lament,
For a noble man, deeply loved, we now lament.
I intended to praise his virtues, one by one,
But, alas, my words falter, I can't be done.
The multiplicity of his virtues, by God's grace,
All gatherings, to his virtues, bear witness to their embrace.
We knew him as a scholar, wise and sincere,
In both knowledge and guidance, he'd persevere.
Knowledge alone isn't sufficient to guide,
Without noble deeds, one's faith may hide.
In the trustworthy one, we found nobility,
With elevated ethics, a clear reality.
Oh, noble and generous one, my salutations to you,
You who, through love for God, stayed steadfast and true.
You were the constant bearer of glad tidings,
Guiding us all to what God provides.
Your excellence is an eternal source,
From you, our origins take their course.
Mentioning you invokes awe and fear,
As if I've witnessed something profound and clear.
It's as if I've received a blessed revelation,
Like a new dawn that brings forth salvation.
Time has shown us your countless graces,
I can't count them all, though my heart embraces.
Your memory in my heart will forever stay,
Like the radiant morning at the break of day.
You, noble and generous, we salute,
Your love for God always absolute.
You've been our constant bearer of good news,
And everything you invite us to, we choose.
May God grant you the highest abode,
The source from which all virtues flowed.
Rest in peace, among the pious and fair,
In the company of those who deeply care.
Your death is but a journey to a destination,
To win the gardens of God, the final station.
May God grant your family patience and strength,
As we all invoke God for you at length.
